Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness reveals Carlo Ancelotti lost the dressing room prior to sacking

Bayern Munich president Uli Hoeness has revealed no fewer than five squad members had turned on Carlo Ancelotti, leading to his eventual sacking as head coach.

The Italian was relieved of his duties on Thursday, just 24 hours after the German giants’ 3-0 thrashing away to Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.

Hoeness has since revealed Ancelotti had lost the dressing room earlier in the season which resulted in results not forthcoming on the field.

"Ancelotti had five players against him," the Bayern chief told Sport1.

He continued: "Since the start of the season, the performance of the team has not met our expectations, and the match in Paris has shown clearly that we had to make conclusions.

"Carlos is my friend and that will continue, but we had to take a professional decision for FC Bayern."
