Kaizer Chiefs defender Erick Mathoho relishing Durban showdown with Baroka

Kaizer Chiefs centre-back Erick Mathoho says a hard lesson was learnt as he gears up for Saturday's showdown with Baroka in Durban.
Mathoho started the goalless draw with Golden Arrows at FNB Stadium last weekend, having made his return from a two-game ban as a substitute in the 2-0 win at Maritzburg United earlier this month.
'Tower' was suspended after getting sent off in a 2-1 defeat to SuperSport United in August.
“That was a hard lesson for me,” Mathoho told his club's website.
“It’s good to be back. It was also fantastic to keep a clean sheet at the back [against Arrows], as that’s always important.”
Amakhosi next face in-form Bakgaga, with Mathoho eager to get stuck in at Moses Mabhida Stadium.
“I love to play in Durban. We always enjoy that special vibe in the stadium. The KZN supporters really make us happy and they motivate us so much. As a result, we push ourselves to make them happy.”
However, the former Bloemfontein Celtic defender expects a test against the surprise joint-log leaders, who narrowly survived relegation via the Play-offs last term.
“They have been doing well. It promises to be an interesting but tough game. I can’t wait until Saturday.”
