John Stones says Manchester City’s defenders can feel just as proud as the forwards following the club’s stellar start to the 2017/18 season.
The Citizens currently lead the Premier League after scoring 21 goals and conceding just two in their opening six league games.
The Manchester giants have managed to mirror that form in the UEFA Champions League with six goals scored and none conceded in their two outings this term, and defender Stones is able to take plenty of pride from their numerous clean sheets.
The England international said: "I'm trying to work hard at my game in training, to enjoy my football.
"It always helps when we're winning and scoring goals and keeping clean sheets.
"From my perspective, and for the back four and the keeper, keeping clean sheets has been a big target and we've been defensively solid in the Premier League and Champions League.
"It's about carrying that on now. It's a big thing for me and it's as satisfying as the boys up the top scoring."
