Larsen sweating over Shongwe

Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen is hopeful new signing Jabulani Shongwe will recover in time for the visit of Chippa United as he deals with a raft of injuries.
Shongwe, who was snapped up from champions Bidvest Wits in August, faces another fortnight out after sustaining a knock in Arrows' 4-1 defeat of neighbours AmaZulu on September 17.
The midfielder joined teammates Lehlohonolo Nonyane, Matome Mathiane and Danny Phiri on the sidelines, with the latter only due back in eight months after rupturing his Achilles tendon last week.'
Larsen concedes Shongwe brings a different dimension to Abafana Bes'thende.
"At this point we've got four players out injured with Danny Phiri on the long-term. Monyane, Mathiane and Shongwe could be ready for the Chippa game [on September 30])," Larsen tells KickOff.com.
The former Bloemfontein Celtic mentor expects much of Shongwe, who made his Arrows debut in a 3-1 win at Wits before missing the 1-0 victory over Platinum Stars and goalless draw with Kaizer Chiefs.
"Shongwe gives us a certain dimension since he has been in the team but fortunately for us he'll only be out for two weeks.
"He has started light training already and he'll be back next week. I'll rather let him miss two games than a longer period.
"Since he arrived at the club he has been a good influence and I think the best is still to come from him."
