Platinum Stars' search for a first win continues, after they drew 1-1 with AmaZulu in an Absa Premiership clash on Saturday evening.

The game got off to a slow start, as neither side showed any attacking intent in the respective final thirds.

Stars eventually broke the deadlock in the 19th minute as Thabang Sesinyi superbly rifled the ball home from 12-yards out.

Sibongakonke Mbatha nearly doubled Dikwena's lead 10 minutes later, but AmaZulu shot-stopper Siyabonga Mbatha produced a fine save to keep out the winger's effort.

After a quiet start to the half, AmaZulu were awarded a penalty in the 59th minute. Rhulani Manzini stepped up and converted the spot-kick.

Rodger De Sa opted for a change on 73 minutes as Mbatha made way for Luvolwethu Mpeta.

Samuel Darpoh went close to handing AmaZulu the lead, but his long range effort was saved by Mbongeni Mzimela in the 82nd minute.

Dikwena threw on Thobani Kunene for Robert Ng'ambi for the final few minutes as they pushed for a winning goal .

However, neither side could carve out an opening and they were forced to settle for a point a piece.
