Posted: 23 September 2017 Time: 13:43

Baroka stretched their unbeaten run to six games in the Absa Premiership after playing out a 2-2 draw with Ajax Cape Town.

The Urban Warriors broke the deadlock after just two minutes courtesy of a sublime long-range effort from Roderick Kabwe.

Baroka were then awarded a penalty in the 11th minute for handball in the box. Richard Matloga stepped up and scored the spot-kick.

Ajax enjoyed most of the possession in the opening half, although they struggled to carve out chances.

The hosts were then dealt a blow on 37 minutes when Lucky Nguzana was forced off with an injury and replaced by Lewis Macha.

The final stages of the first half proved to be quiet affair and the sides went into break level at 1-1.

Ajax then took the lead five minutes into the second half courtesy of a strike from Tashreeq Morris. His first goal of the season.

The visitors' joy was short-lived as Baroka leveled matters once again with Macha heading at the near post.

Bakgaka opted for another change on the hour as Mpho Kgaswane was introduced in place of Matloga.

Stanley Menzo responded with a change of his own in the 71st minute when Grant Margeman replaced Kabwe.

Both sides upped the tempo for the final 20 minutes as they went search of a winning goal.

Baroka thought thought they had the ball in the back of the net in the 89th minute but Gift Motupa's strike was flagged offside.

Nevertheless, 2-2 was how the score remained as Baroka maintain their unbeaten start to the campaign.
