Golden Arrows are currently assessing former Ajax Cape Town striker Thomas Chideu.

The Zimbabwean, who is a free agent after leaving Ajax in August, has been with Arrows since last week and is doing well at training, according to head coach Clinton Larsen.

"He is training with us," Larsen tells "He is doing well at training but we haven’t made up our mind. We will decide about him very soon."

Meanwhile, Larsen hopes the log leaders can make their momentum count against Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs at FNB Stadium on Saturday night (20h00).

Abafana Bes'thende have 11 points from five games, most recently defeating bottom-placed Platinum Stars in Phokeng on Wednesday.

"It's a big game. It's always difficult playing against Chiefs, they got support behind them," says Larsen, whose side have also found goals easy to come by in victories over neighbours AmaZulu and out-of-sorts champions Bidvest Wits.

"But we have little bit of momentum now and a little bit of confidence. Hopefully that will carry us through and we get a result against them."
