Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak rules out possibility of Juventus switch

Posted: 22 September 2017 Time: 13:57

Atletico Madrid goalkeeper Jan Oblak has ruled out the possibility of leaving the club following reported interest from Juventus.

The shot-stopper has this week been heavily linked with a move to Juve, having previously stated he could be open to departing the Vicente Calderon in the future.

However, the Slovenian keeper has moved to clarify his stance with Atletico, telling Diario AS: “I have a contract with Atletico and I'm here so there’s nothing more I can say.”

Oblak was the hero for Atletico on Wednesday after saving a penalty in the 2-1 win over Athletic Bilbao, although he played down his contribution.

“Penalties are partly down to luck and guesswork and I was able to save one on Wednesday - I wish I could save them all,” he told his club’s official website.

“I just try to stop as many as I can, knowing that I will not get too upset if I’m not able to stop some from going in.”
