Orlando Pirates midfielder Marshall Munetsi remains a part of the Bucs setup despite his dim prospects of breaking through at Mayfair.

Munetsi narrowly missed out on joining Ajax Cape Town with Tercious Malepe in the past transfer window due to injury, having also seen a second loan spell with Baroka fall through after spending last term with Bakgaga.

And although Munetsi is not listed amongst the players on Pirates' revamped website, club official Floyd Mbele maintains the Zimbabwean is still on their books and is training with the team.

"Munetsi is with the club, he is training with the club," said Mbele, who did not offer more on Muneti's situation under coach new head Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic.

Sredojevic's unbeaten side are joint-top of the Premiership standings with 11 points from five games, most recently beating Cape Town City 1-0 at FNB Stadium on Tuesday night.

The Buccaneers next visit winless champions Bidvest Wits at Bidvest Stadium on Saturday (19h30).
