Kaizer Chiefs have promoted another youngster to the first team in Yusuf Bunting and are currently assessing two Cameroonian forwards.
The 21-year-old striker has penned a four-year contract with the Soweto giants.
Bunting has featured for the Glamour Boys' MultiChoice Diski Challenge side, while he starred at the SAB U-21 National Championships for Gauteng with 12 goals in five games in July.
Chiefs announced the news on Twitter, saying: 'Yusuf Bunting has been promoted to Kaizer Chiefs’ 1st team on a four year deal, having signed a contract until 30 June 2021.'
Amakhosi, who recently elevated the likes of Wiseman Meyiwa and Nkosingiphile Ngcobo to Steve Komphela's squad, also disclosed that Christ Mbondi and Julien Ebah are on trial at Naturena.
Mbondi, 25, was previously with Deportivo Capiatá in Paraguay and has also played for Sion in Switzerland.
The 26-year-old Ebah, an Indomitable Lions international, last represented Kapaz in Azerbaijan.
“We continue to assess strikers,” said Chiefs football manager Bobby Motaung.
“We won’t just sign anybody. We need to be satisfied that we have found the right one.”
