Roland Putsche boost for Cape Town City ahead of Orlando Pirates test

Posted: 18 September 2017 Time: 14:58

Cape Town City have been boosted by the availability of influential midfielder Roland Putsche for tomorrow night's trip to Orlando Pirates.

City said on Twitter: 'INJURY UPDATE! #19 Roland Putsche has made a full recovery from an injury he sustained in our 2-1 win over Wits!'

The Austrian has recovered from a heavy knock sustained in an aerial challenge with Bidvest Wits skipper Thulani Hlatshwayo in the first leg of the MTN8 semi-finals on August 27.

Putsche missed the rematch with Wits and the 2-0 league defeat to Kaizer Chiefs at Cape Town Stadium last week.

Citizens coach Benni McCarthy could also reportedly field new signing Victor Obinna. The former West Ham striker joined the club on the eve of the defeat to Amakhosi.

McCarthy's attacking options have been boosted further by the recovery of winger Judas Moseamedi, who made his first appearance of the season against the Glamour Boys as a substitute.
