Bloemfontein Celtic registered their first win of the season after defeating Polokwane City 2-1 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium on Wednesday night.
Former Orlando Pirates striker Ndumiso Mabena sealed the victory for the visitors with strikes either side of the break.
Mabena's first goal was scored in the seventh minute, but it was cancelled out by City's Rodney Ramagalela just before the half-hour mark.
Ramagalela recently scored a brace against African champions Mamelodi Sundowns and is proving to be an early candidate for the Golden Boot, which was won by former Cape Town City captain Lebogang Manyama last season.
This time, however, Ramagalela would not end up on the winning side, as Mabena stole the show with his second of the night in the 71st minute, leading Celtic to victory in Polokwane, where they also managed to secure three points against Rise and Shine last season.
