Kaizer Chiefs coach Steve Komphela has yet to hand new signing Dumisani Zuma his official debut but could look to do so when they face Cape Town City on Wednesday.
Zuma arrived at Naturena following the settlement of a contract dispute with former club Bloemfontein Celtic, after which he penned a three-year deal with the Glamour Boys.
Winless in three games so far this season, Komphela is in need of a drastic turnaround if he is to surmount the pressure he is under at this early stage of the season.
In Zuma, Chiefs have the option of a right-winger or a centre-forward as they look to find find their rhythm in front of goal, having found the back of the net on just two occasions thus far.
While his record at the Free State-based club may not offer much confidence, the 22-year-old could bring something fresh with his menacing runs and shooting ability that saw him cause problems for defenses last season.
The Celtic youth graduate managed just four goals in 33 starts during his three seasons at Phunya Sele Sele but, with the help of the likes of Siphiwe Tshabalala and Bernard Parker, could get himself into more promising scoring positions as he offers mobility in attack.
Currently fit and raring to go, Zuma could prove a breath of fresh air for the Amakhosi faithful if given a chance when they come up against an on-form City outfit lead by an inspiring Benni McCarthy.
The question is: who would you have Komphela take out to hand the junior international his Chiefs debut?
