There were victories for Golden Arrows and Maritzburg United in Sunday's MultiChoice Diski Challenge action.

Golden Arrows 3-2 Kaizer Chiefs

Kaizer Chiefs started their MultiChoice Diski Challenge campaign with a 3-2 loss to Golden Arrows on Sunday afternoon.

Arrows went ahead after three minutes through Nkosikhona Dube but Chiefs levelled matters via Nkosi Ngcobo.

Arrows restored their lead in the 22nd minute courtesy of a simple finish from Yusuf Jappie before Tristan Moses equalised after the break.

However, the Durban outfit restored their advantage midway through the second through Syanda Dlamini's strike, which sealed the victory.

Maritzburg United 2-1 Free State Stars

Maritzburg United got their campaign off to a winning start with a 2-1 win over Free State Stars on Sunday morning.

The Team of Choice opened the scoring through Mohau Mokate's header in the 29th minute.

Captain Devon Saal doubled Maritzburg's lead five minutes after the break with a composed finish into the bottom corner.

Ea Lla Koto managed to pull a goal back late in the second half, but it proved to be nothing more than a consolation.
