Coach Peter Butler parts ways with Platinum Stars

Posted: 8 September 2017 Time: 12:55

KickOff.com can reveal that coach Peter Butler has tendered his resignation at Platinum Stars.

Butler has stepped aside barely two matches into the season after taking over the reins from Cavin Johnson, who is now supervising Premiership returnees AmaZulu.

"We have parted ways with the coach," says an official at Stars, who are propping up the standings following losses to Maritzburg United and Cape Town City.

"We are still trying to sort out a few things with the coach before we release an official statement."

Martin Dlamini will be in charge of Dikwena when they visit SuperSport United at Lucas Moripe Stadium on September 12.

Butler is the second coaching casualty of the PSL season, after Luc Eymael replaced Sammy Troughton at Free State Stars last month.
