National First Division side Royal Eagles have signed former Kaizer Chiefs striker David Zulu

National First Division club Royal Eagles have confirmed the signing of former Kaizer Chiefs and Chippa United striker David Zulu.

Zulu spent the past season back at Chippa following a disastrous spell at Chiefs which brought him absolutely no joy at all.

James Dlamini, the general manager at Eagles, confirms that they have brought the 31-year-old on board.

“We have signed Zulu for the new season,” Dlamini tells KickOff.com.

Zulu’s career has been on a downward spiral since his move to Chiefs in January 2015 and his return to the First Division comes as no surprise.

Last season he made 12 appearances at Chippa United scoring just a single goal.

Zulu, a former First Division top scorer, could be the perfect replacement for last season's top marksman Sedwyn George, who has joined Ajax Cape Town.
