Mamelodi Sundowns youngster Keletso Makgalwa wants to learn as much as possible in the first team this season

Mamelodi Sundowns forward Keletso Makgalwa says he is not expecting to regularly in the first team this season, as he focuses on learning and improving his game.

The 20-year-old, who was the star of Sundowns’ MultiChoice Diski Challenge (MDC) conquering side last season, has been promoted this season by head coach Pitso Mosimane, along with defender Thendo Mukumela.

While he waits for his first team chance, Makgalwa will continue to play in the in the MDC which kicks off this weekend.

“For me this season it’s all about learning. I prefer to play maybe next year because i think it'll be time for me play because this year I want to know how they play, understand the style of play [in the first team],” Makgalwa said during Wednesday’s MDC press conference at Durban's Moses Mabhida Stadium. 

“The coach Pitso Mosimane doesn't want any lazy people. All i have to do is to work hard and show commitment on my work and also push - and next season i feel things will come right.''   

The 2017/18 MDC season will kick-off this weekend. Sundowns kickstart their campaign with a clash against Bloemfontein Celtic at Sugar Ray Xulu Stadium in Clermont on Saturday.
