Nigerian defender Azubuike Egwuekwe is in line to make his SuperSport United debut against Maritzburg United on Saturday night after receiving his work permit.

Egwuekwe joined SuperSport in late August following a brief spell in Finland with KuPS, and made an appearance in Matsatsantsa's 2-1 win over the Nedbank Ke Yona team in Tembisa last weekend. Fellow new signings Sifiso Myeni and Richard Boateng also featured in the friendly contest during the FIFA international break.

Egwuekwe confirmed his availability for the MTN8 semi-final decider with Maritzburg at Harry Gwala Stadium.

"Yes, my papers are now okay," said the centre-back.

"I am very excited to join a big team like SuperSport United and am looking forward to giving my best for the club," added the Super Eagles international.

The first leg ended in a 1-1 draw in Tshwane.
