Cape Town City keeping tabs on Mandla Masango

Cape Town City have not ruled out the possibility of signing former Kaizer Chiefs winger Mandla Masango in the January transfer window.

KickOff.com has established that City launched a late bid for Masango in the recently-concluded transfer window, but his Danish club Randers rejected the offer.

The Citizens are looking to replace Turkey-bound attacker Lebogang Manyama, having also had their eye on Sifiso Myeni prior to his loan move to SuperSport United from Bidvest Wits last week.

City chairman John Comitis confirmed the club's interest in Masango, who spent last season on loan at SuperSport.

"We were looking to sign him but the numbers demanded by his team were too big for us," says Comitis.

"We will look at it again in January if need be," adds the former Ajax Cape Town boss.
