However, Group D is wide open after three rounds of fixtures following a goalless draw between leaders Burkina Faso and Senegal on Saturday. The nations will collide again today in Ouagadougou.

"We have a chance today again to make things right, to get back to our normal selves and that is the most important thing," said Mokotjo, who earned a ninth cap off the bench against the Blue Sharks last week.

"We are in the right frame of mind and we are back home, so no excuses after today's game. I feel as a whole we didn't do enough on Friday to win the game. We were not composed enough from the beginning to win the game but we were composed later in the game. It is important to be composed when you play such an opponent because they like the rush of things.

"Of course we have more quality and we should've controlled the game better. So I think that'll be the main difference today and also getting goals."

Bafana qualified for the 2015 AFCON with a game to spare when they beat Sudan 2-1 at the match venue in November 2014, and Mokotjo says the side draws confidence from playing in Durban.

"A lot is expected and we always love playing in front of our own crowd. There is the pressure of the game but we we enjoy it," he said.

"I mean we've had fantastic results playing in Durban, I think it is why we are always here. We always get great support. We are going to put on a show today, I can assure you on that front and the result will be good," declared the Brentford man.
