Highlands Park's Zamuxolo Ngalo out until next year following knee surgery

Posted: 3 September 2017 Time: 13:00

KickOff.com has been informed that Highlands Park will have to wait until next year for the return of Zamuxolo Ngalo due to a knee injury.

Ngalo recently signed a new two-year deal before landing awkwardly during a friendly match, according to club boss Brad Kaftel.

“Eddie [Ngalo] injured his cruciate ligaments in a friendly match during pre-season and then underwent surgery. So right now we are hoping that he will be back in January. He is going through his rehabilitation at the moment. Though he is already 35 his attitude and conduct is that of a warrior,” says Kaftel.

Ngalo put in a shift of 31 appearances last season as Highlands failed to survive in their first season back in topflight football.

Highlands have started off their campaign back in the National First Division with two victories.
