Kwanda Mngonyama seeks Mamelodi Sundowns exit

Mamelodi Sundowns defender Kwanda Mngonyama is seeking a move away from the club before the transfer window closes.
Mngonyama, who spent last season on loan to Maritzburg United, does not seem to feature in coach Pitso Mosimane’s plans and is looking to make a move that will see him getting game-time.
Previously when Sundowns loaned Mngonyama out, Mosimane said the player was not yet ready to play in his side.
A move back to Maritzburg was on the cards not too long ago for Mngonyama, but it’s said to have fallen through after a proposed swap deal for Deolin Mekoa did not work out.
And after signing Siyanda Xulu from Kaizer Chiefs, Maritzburg are unlikely to make another attempt to sign the big defender.
Mngonyama made 25 appearances in all competitions for Maritzburg last season and scored one goal, proving to be one of their key players as they finished in the top eight.
Sundowns spokesperson Thulani Thuswa would not comment on the matter, but did confirm that the player has been with the club.
Another player looking to secure a move away from Sundowns before the window closes is striker Bongi Ntuli. A return to Platinum Stars is a possibility for Ntuli.
