Rhulani Manzini has indicated a need to challenge himself influenced his move from Chippa United to AmaZulu.
The striker, who scored nine goals in 16 appearances in 2016/17, joined the Premiership returnees last week as part of a swap deal that saw defender Ayabulela Konqobe go the other way.
Manzini did not feature in United's opening two matches this season, with new signing Moeketsi Sekola leading the line in a 1-0 loss to Orlando Pirates and 2-0 win over Usuthu. Coach Dan Malesela also has Lerato Manzini and veteran hitman Katlego Mashego as options upfront.
"In order for one to grow, he must come out of his comfort zone and challenge himself," Manzini told Chippa's website.
The 29-year-old expressed gratitude for his two-year spell with the Eastern Cape-based outfit.
“To all the supporters, the Chippa United faithful, I am grateful for the support and love that you gave me during my time at the club.
“I thank the executive chairman Chippa Mpengesi, management, [the] technical team and all the coaches that gave me an opportunity on the pitch to make a contribution to this wonderful brand.
“My teammates played a big role in my development as a player and I would like to wish them all the best this season."
