Platinum Stars captain Vuyo Mere promises improvement

Posted: 28 August 2017 Time: 17:11

Platinum Stars captain Vuyo Mere admits that the team are slowly getting to grips with the philosophy of their new coach as they seek to move off the bottom of the table.

Under Peter Butler the Phokeng-based outfit have not fared well early in the season, succumbing to back-to-back losses in the league.

An opening day home defeat to Maritzburg United was followed up by a loss to Cape Town City that leaves Stars propping up the standings.

"It is not the start we wanted," Mere told KickOff.com. "It's been difficult for everybody in the team, adjusting to the new technical team.

"We are slowly progressing under them and we are hoping we get the results sooner than later because it's very difficult to come out of the bottom half."

Dikwena's next game is against SuperSport United on September 12 at Lucas Moripe Stadium.
