The most exciting part of the transfer window is here and clubs will be working tirelessly behind the scenes to bolster their squads before the window closes on Thursday.
KickOff.com looks at 10 players who could make big moves this week.
Brockie has made it clear to SuperSport United that he wants to leave, but the club does not want to let him go. With Sundowns ready to break the bank, don’t rule out a move for the deadly striker.
Sundowns are interested in Manyama, but Cape Town City say they will not sell the player to a local club. He has been linked with an overseas move and it remains to be seen if City boss John Comitis can get something done before the window closes.
Castro’s future with Sundowns is uncertain. He had a poor season in the last term and it seems Sundowns are willing to let him go. Pirates and Chiefs are said to be interested in the player.
The former Ajax Cape Town skipper remains in limbo at Ikamva, after he turned down the chance to sign a new contract with the club. He’s been training away from the first team and could make a move to Gauteng.
Wits recently revealed that there had been no offers for the player who has been deemed surplus to requirements. But with clubs looking to bolster their squads before the window, Shongwe could have a new home by the time the window closes.
Malajila returned to Sundowns after his loan spell at Wits expired, but he could be on his way out again. There’s interest from Saudi Arabia while a few PSL clubs are said to have enquired about his availability.
With so many attacking players at his disposal, Sundowns coach Pitso Mosimane is not likely to have Ngele in his match day squads. Another loan move is on the cards for the Botswana international, with Pirates showing an interest.
The arrivals of Daylon Claasen and Steven Pienaar means Mlambo will see little game time and he could be seeking a move before the window closes. The Soweto clubs have been linked with the creative midfielder, while his former club Chippa United are apparently monitoring the situation.
Another Sundowns man who has been linked with a move away from the club is the versatile Mbekile. There’s tons of competition at right back, while the addition of Oupa Manyisa in midfield means his chances of playing there are even slimmer. He’s been linked with Pirates while Chippa could be interested in having their former player back.
Chances of playing regularly at Pirates are slim for Phungwayo and his jersey number 21 has been taken by Thamsanqa Sangweni. He’s been linked with SuperSport United.
