South African striker Dino Ndlovu admits he is relishing the opportunity of meeting Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League group stages.
Ndlovu's team Qarabag FK have been pitted against Chelsea, Atletico Madrid and AS Roma in Group C of the continental event. The former SuperSport United striker will join the likes of Benni McCarthy and Steven Pienaar as one of the few South Africans to participate in the tournament.
Speaking in an interview with KickOff.com, Ndlovu termed the group draw as daunting but insists they are ready to compete.
"The feeling of playing in the Champions League is an overwhelming feeling but yet scary because we are underdogs,” Ndlovu tells this website.
"For me, it’s a tough draw but it’s not every day you get the chance to play with the likes of Chelsea, Madrid and Roma and this will be a great occasion for us to show our potential,” he adds.
Ndlovu feels the team have nothing to lose as they seek to cause an upset in the competition.
"We don't have any ambitions in the group stages, that’s an experience itself because this is going to be the first time we play in the Champions League. We have nothing to lose and there is no pressure.”
