Jomo Cosmos got their first points of the 2017/18 NFD season after thrashing University of Pretoria while Tshakhuma Tsha Madzivhandila FC remain empty handed following Sunday’s action.

Cosmos bounced back from an opening-day defeat to hammer AmaTuks 5-0 at Vosloorus Stadium, with Tebogo Makobela and Mxolisi Macuphu scoring in the opening six minutes before second-half goals from Sicelo Mkhize, Cyril Lingwati and Clifford Mulenga.

Meanwhile, Tshakhuma remain without any points this term after they succumbed to a 2-0 loss away to Mthatha Bucks, who had two-goal hero Mpho Erasmus to thank for the victory.

And finally, Ubuntu Cape Town came from behind to salvage a 2-2 draw, having opened the scoring through Waseem Isaacs before going behind to strikes from Mwape Musonda and Phathutshedzo Nange, only for Mhlengi Sigwebela to rescue them 15 minutes from the end.
