Golden Arrows' Clinton Larsen bemoans a point after draw with Bloemfontein Celtic

Posted: 26 August 2017 Time: 10:14

Golden Arrows coach Clinton Larsen felt his men dominated Bloemfontein Celtic in midweek.

The teams played to a 1-1 draw on Wednesday, with Zimbabwean attacker Kudakwashe Mahachi cancelling out Roggert Nyundu's earlier opener for Celtic at Durban's Princess Magogo Stadium.

Both sides also registered the same scoreline in the first round of league fixtures.

Larsen told his club's website: "A disappointing result when you look at the chances we created and the way we dominated Celtics, especially in the second half.

"Another good defensive display by the team with [Limbikani] Mzava and [Nkanyiso] Mngwengwe outstanding in central defense. We need to start converting our chances in order to turn these draws into wins though.

"Overall we are happy with the commitment shown by our players."

Abafana Bes'thende, who lost to Bidvest Wits in the MTN8 quarter-finals on penalties, will revive hostilities with the Students in the Premiership at Bidvest Stadium on September 13.
