Bloemfontein Celtic striker Roggert Nyundu is hoping to score more goals this season after getting off the mark against Golden Arrows.
Nyundu, who joined Celtic prior to this season, told KickOff.com he wants to score 25 goals in the PSL this season.
In the Absa Premiership clash gainst Arrows, he was a constant threat throughout and was rewarded for his efforts when he met Deon Hotto's cross to score.
The 29-year-old, who scored 19 goals in all competitions with Black Leopards during the 2014/15 season, says having broken the ice at his new club he is targetting the Golden Boot.
"I have started and I believe I'll do more and I know what I'm capable of. The chance I'm given by the team coach [Veselin Jelusic] shows that he believes in my ability," Nyundu told KickOff.com.
"With that being said, it gives me the courage to work harder because he's showing confidence in me. I'll put in more effort to show him that by raising my hands to ensure in the next game he can field me. I believe scoring on Wednesday will open the floodgates."
With the international break coming up, Nyundu's next game will be against his former club Polokwane City on September 12 at the Old Peter Mokaba Stadium.
"You win games by scoring goals. I believe in the next three-week break that is coming up we'll base our game on the final third, the offensive aspect to score goals because we are creating chances but we don't take them," he concluded.
