Ajax Cape Town striker Sedwyn George reflects on nerve-wracking debut

As Ajax Cape Town approach tonight's game against Maritzburg United, new striker Sedwyn George reflects on his debut.

George landed a move to the Urban Warriors after finishing as last season's National First Division Golden Boot winner whilst at Royal Eagles.

The lanky goal-poacher made his maiden bow in the topflight against Golden Arrows over the weekend in a game that ended 1-1.

"It was nerve-wracking but I had to adjust," George told KickOff.com of his debut.

"It was the best feeling ever. Compared to the NFD it's a much more patient build up. So a lot more thought goes into the attack and the intensity is also like NFD."

According to the 25-year-old hitman, Urban Warriors coach Stanley Menzo was also impressed with his game although the tactician does expect more, starting with today's trip to face the Team of Choice.

"Yes he was, but he thinks I can do much better," George concluded.
