KickOff.com has been informed that former Orlando Pirates striker Siyanda Ngubo has been signed by National First Division side Royal Eagles.
Ngubo was one of six players released by Bucs as his contract was not renewed and the club felt it was best to sever ties.
The KZN-born striker is no stranger to Eagles as Pirates previously loaned him out to the NFD outfit for the 2015/16 season where he scored 10 goals in 18 appearances.
The 20-year-old was again on loan at Eagles last season but a terrible knee injury, sustained in a car accident, derailed his season.
The goal-scoring duties at Eagles were picked up by Sedwyn George as the now Ajax Cape Town striker scored 20 goals and claimed the NFD Golden Boot.
"Yes, we have signed Siyanda Ngubo and you know he has been previously at the club so we are very delighted to have signed him," says Eagles general manager James Dlamini.
Allan Freese's Eagles outfit, who have been one of the busiest sides in the transfer window, started the 2017/18 NFD season this past weekend with a 1-1 draw against newbies Uthongathi FC.
