Musa Nyatama says he did not hesitate upon hearing of Orlando Pirates’ interest in his services as he looks to fulfil his desire to win silverware and earn more Bafana Bafana caps.

For all the 10 years that Nyatama has spent playing in the PSL, he is yet to lift a single piece of silverware, while he has only two international caps to his name.

However, following his switch from Bloemfontein Celtic to the Buccaneers, Nyatama sees a very bright future ahead of him as he looks to hit his personal footballing targets.

“It felt good to hear that a team of Pirates’ magnitude was interested in my services and I didn’t think twice about joining the club when I heard that they wanted me. I felt like this is a good team to join as I need to win silverware as a player,” he said.

“As a player, you need to play in the national team and personally I need to win some silverware. I have settled well and the guys have been good to me. There is a lot of pressure that comes with playing for a team like Pirates but this season I think things are going well and I am sure we will win something this season.

“Everyone is happy in the camp and you can see the hunger from the guys, especially with the way that they are working to get into the first team. This season, I am sure everything will go our way. To the Pirates fans, I would ask them to continue supporting and we will make sure we will make them happy by winning games,” added Nyatama.

The 30-year-old made his debut during Saturday's 1-0 win over Chippa United before being replaced by Luvuyo Memela just after the hour mark.
