Royal Eagles FC have won the DRC case against fellow National First Division side Richards Bay involving the latter's former captain Boikanyo Komane who has signed a one-year deal with Eagles.
The Natal Rich Boyz had taken their provincial rivals to the DRC claiming the player still had an existing contract with them, but yesterday they lost the case when the PSL ruled in favour of Eagles.
The 29-year-old made 29 appearances for Thanda Royal Zulu last season, the side that would eventually sell their status to AmaZulu.
"Richards Bay took us to the DRC claiming they still had a contract with the boy," Eagles general manager James Dlamini tells KickOff.com.
"They claimed the player was still contracted to them until 2019 and they lost the case. The league ruled in our favour. He has received his clearance From Thanda [Royal Zulu] now AmaZulu, and is ready to play.
"We believed the boy when he said he had no contract with them. Unfortunately he is suspended for our first game because last season he received four bookings but he has already served one."
