New Platinum Stars signing Lehlogonolo Masalesa hopes for a speedy recovery from injury so he can begin paying back the faith shown in him after he was handed a three-year deal.

Dikwena will be without Masalesa when they kick off their 2017/18 Absa Premiership season against Maritzburg United this Sunday due to an ankle problem, but the midfielder is still thrilled to be part of the Rustenburg club.

“It feels great. It is always great to be where you are wanted,” Masalesa tells “I’m wanted here and that is why I’m here. I have been welcomed very well and I’m happy to be here.

“The club has shown in a couple of seasons that they can compete for silverware and I want to help them do that. I want to help maybe in winning a trophy or two this season.

“I want to play as much as I can and my immediate goal is to get fit. I’m still struggling with an ankle injury and I hope it doesn’t keep me out for too long.

“I really want to start training with the team, starting working with the team and repay them for the faith that they’ve shown in me.”
