Musa Nyatama eager to erase Mamelodi Sundowns shortcomings with Orlando Pirates

Orlando Pirates new signing Musa Nyatama believes he has matured enough to handle the demands that come with playing for one of the 'big three'.

Nyatama previously had a difficult two-year spell with Mamelodi Sundowns but feels his return to a 'big' club is now perfectly timed as he seeks trophies along with career growth.

“As a player you will always want to play for a big team like Orlando Pirates and so far I am also enjoying myself here. This is really a career growth,” he tells KickOff.com.

“I feel like now I am ready and more matured to be in a big team. I think that this time it will work out well for me. Maybe I was not ready and maybe it was not the right time for me to join a big team but now I feel like I am more than ready,” says Nyatama, who has been playing in the PSL for a decade now.

Having joined after a disastrous campaign for the Buccaneers, the 30-year-old declares that that kind of shame will not happen again.

“With what happened last season, the guys that were here have forgotten about it and are now looking forward to a new season and we just want to make sure that it doesn’t happen again or anymore. So we need to push and make it a point that we win some silverware this season,” he notes.
