Orlando Pirates utility man Abbubaker Mobara is itching to get out in front of the Buccaneers fans with the 2017/18 Absa Premiership season just days from commencement.

The Sea Robbers open their campaign by welcoming Chippa United to the Orlando Stadium on Saturday evening, with kick off scheduled for 18h00.

Now under the stewardship of Milutin ‘Micho’ Sredojevic, the Pirates players are adapting to the philosophies of their new coach as the opening fixture looms.

"Preparations with the new coach are going fairly well. We're excited for the home match on Saturday against Chippa," Mobara said in a message to Bucs fans from their training session at Rand Stadium.

"[We're excited] to see the Bucs fans at our home pitch and we're also excited to put smiles back on their faces and to salute the crowd."

Pirates finished a disappointing 11th last season, five points above 13th-place Chippa.
