Posted: 15 August 2017 Time: 15:17

Stuart Baxter's Bafana Bafana squad announcement for back-to-back 2018 World Cup qualifiers with Cape Verde has been postponed to Monday.

Baxter was initially meant to reveal his selections tomorrow; however, SAFA have shifted the press conference to after the national team's CHAN qualifier with Zambia in Ndola this weekend.

Bafana will contest the first leg with Cape Verde on Friday, 1 September at the Estadio Nacional Stadium. Kick-off is at 17h30 local time (20h30 SA time).

Baxter's side will host the return duel on Tuesday, 5 September at the Moses Mabhida Stadium in Durban. Kick-off is at 19h00.

South Africa played to a 1-1 draw against Burkina Faso in Ouagadougou in October 2016 and followed it up with a 2-1 win over Senegal in Polokwane in November in their previous WC qualifiers.

Baxter's men will first revive hostilities with Chipolopolo on Saturday after playing to a 2-2 draw in East London last weekend.
