SuperSport United defender Clayton Daniels has declared himself fit to play in the Absa Premiership opener against city rivals Mamelodi Sundowns this weekend.
Daniels has produced some inspired performances of late and is most certainly amongst the first-choice players in Matsatsantsa's back line.
However, the Capetonian had to make way for Tefu Mashamaite in the 80th minute of their MTN8 quarter-final win over Kaizer Chiefs on Saturday with injury, although he has allayed any concerns of a long-term absence.
"Yes, I was substituted because of an injury but it's all good now,” Daniels tells KickOff.com.
"I got kicked in the first half in the knee, so every time I got a knock in the same knee during the match I felt pain.
"But it's all good now because I went to see the doctor and everything is fine. I'm back at training."
SuperSport will lock horns with Tshwane rivals Sundowns at Lucas Moripe Stadium on Saturday (15h00 kick-off).
