Liverpool insists Philippe Coutinho is "definitely" not for sale after Barcelona bids

Posted: 11 August 2017 Time: 11:45

Liverpool have moved to reiterate their stance on Philippe Coutinho, underlining the fact the Brazilian is “definitely” not for sale.

The Reds have already rejected two bids for their star forward from Barcelona, the second of which was a staggering £90m [R150b] offer from the Catalan giants.

And, Liverpool owners Fenway Sports Group have moved to end any further pursuit of Coutinho, releasing a statement which indicated that “no offers will be considered” for the forward.

The statement continued: "Philippe will remain a member of Liverpool Football Club when the summer window closes."

Barcelona are currently in the market for a new forward after they saw Brazil superstar Neymar depart for Paris Saint-Germain in a world-record €222m move.
