Add in the English Premier League opening weekend, along with two European Super Cups, and you’ve got yourself a recipe for great entertainment.

On Saturday, Amakhosi play host to last year’s Nedbank Cup champions SuperSport United in their MTN8 quarter final match. After winning the Carling Black Label Champions Cup against rivals Orlando Pirates, Chiefs look to be in good faith ahead of Saturday’s game.

The English Premier League is also underway this weekend with defending champions Chelsea hoping to put aside their recent loss to neighbours Arsenal in the FA Community Shield last week. The Blues will play their opening game against Burnley this Saturday.

This pre-season has already seen one El Clasico take place, and the historic match between Barcelona and Real Madrid will take place on Sunday as the two European giants clash in the Spanish Super Cup.

A player who will not be taking part in the El Clasico, though, is former Barca striker Neymar, who recently made a record-breaking move to Paris Saint-Germain. The French giants will be playing against Guingamp on Sunday as both home and away sides hope to see the world’s most expensive player in action for his new club.
