Bongani Zungu on target in Portugal for Vitoria Guimaraes against Chaves

Posted: 11 August 2017 Time: 07:53

Bongani Zungu netted the first goal as his Portuguese side Vitoria Guimaraes edged Chaves 3-2 in their league opener on Thursday night.

Zungu started the move after winning the ball in midfield, played a one-two with a teammate and then provided a cool finish past the keeper.

The Bafana Bafana midfielder played the full 90 minutes as his side eased into a 3-0 lead and then had to hold on at the end as they allowed Chaves two goals in the final 10 minutes.

Zungu has been the subject of much speculation about a move away from Vitoria in this transfer window, but the club are reportedly to offer him a new contract in order to stay.
