Ex-Free State Stars striker Thokozani Sekotlong is unsure whether he will sign with Mamelodi Sundowns but says things are looking promising.
Sekotlong, who was released by Ea Lla Koto last month, has been on trial with the African champions for about a week and is hoping to find a new home at Chloorkop.
"Yes, it's true [that he is training with Sundowns], though it's not yet clear. A decision hasn't been made yet as they haven't told me anything yet, but it looks promising,” Sekotlong tells KickOff.com.
Having scored eight goals in 19 starts last season for Stars, the 26-year-old forward parted ways with the Bethlehem side last month after he was told he is injury prone.
Sekotlong says he was shocked when he first heard the reason Free State Stars chose to release him.
"Obviously it came as a shock to me,” he says.
"It's not something that I can say I was expecting, but it's part of football. It's something I had no choice but to accept.
"They said I was injury prone so I respected their decision."
