Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt downplays MTN8 pressure

Bidvest Wits coach Gavin Hunt is keeping his wits about him as his star-studded side prepare to face Golden Arrows in their season opener on Friday.
The reigning league champions are set to kick-off their MTN 8 title defence against last season's eighth-place finishers at the Bidvest Stadium tomorrow (20h00).
The Clever Boys have strengthened their squad with quality rather than quantity following last season's historic success, bringing in the likes of Steven Pienaar, Daylon Claasen, Slavko Damjanovic, Kobamelo Kodisang and Bokang Tlhone.
However, Hunt admits that, while the players may have looked impressive in pre-season, competitive games are the real test, and he will not rest on his laurels to put out the best side possible.
"The test will come in the games. In pre-season you can look good and win tournaments and things, but the test is the game," admitted Hunt.
"Friday will be a huge test for us. The biggest problem I've got is to obviously put them [players] all together.
"I could just throw them up in a hat and, whatever ones fall, I play those ones... But I mean, it doesn't happen like that."
Despite being defending champions, and as such coming through as early favourites, Hunt has downplayed the pressure on his side to repeat last season's feat, and merely wants to guage the level of his team against Arrows.
"There's no pressure. The most important thing is to get off to a good start on Friday, and see where we are," he said.
