Mbombela United sign Mathole, Gopane, Mathosi, Sangweni, Zwane and Zitha

Posted: 7 August 2017 Time: 15:06 can confirm that First Division club Mbombela United have completed the signing of Johnny Mathole, Mothusi Gopane and Lucky Mathosi as they gear up for the new season.

Mathole, a goalkeeper, joins following the end of his short spell with Royal Eagles who he linked up with after being offloaded by Free State Stars.

Gopane arrives at Tingwenyama after a frustrating spell with SuperSport United which ended with a loan move to Ea Lla Koto.

With Mathosi he has been brought in to provide goals and last played for FC Cape Town last season after leaving University of Pretoria.

Also signed on a permanent deal is Siphesihle Sangweni, Siphesihle Zwane and Nkosinathi Zitha.

All these developments were confirmed by Mbombela boss Oupa Matsebula, who has been forced to appoint Piet Chauke as caretaker coach amid uncertainty surrounding the future of head coach Aschwin Sutton.
