Highlands sign ex-Bafana striker

KickOff.com can confirm that Highlands Park have snapped up veteran striker Petrus Ngebo (formerly Mahlatsi) on a season-long deal.

Mahlatsi spent the past season at Mthatha Bucks and has also played for Royal Eagles and Blackburn Rovers through the years that he has spent grinding in the First Division following the spectacular collapse of his PSL career.

The 33-year-old was a hit at Bloemfontein Celtic a decade ago but struggled after moving to SuperSport United and also had stints with Free State Stars and Chippa United.

Ngebo has been brought in by Highlands as a replacement for Collins Mbesuma and will be looked upon to provide the experience and goals in the new season as the club seeks to win promotion back to the PSL.
