Zulu signs with Mthatha Bucks

Ex-Chippa United left-back Pentjie Zulu has joined National First Division side Mthatha Bucks on a one-year deal, subject to a medical.

In January, the defender left Bidvest Wits just seven months into his three-and-a-half-year deal after the Clever Boys confirmed the capture of Bokang Thlone.

Zulu then spent four months at Chippa where he managed just four starts before being released.

The 27-year-old recently left Platinum Stars’ pre-season camp after being made to run trials for three weeks without being told of his progress.

And, he has confirmed he has now moved to Mthatha Bucks for the 2017/18 NFD season.

“I’ve signed a one-year deal with Mthatha Bucks [on Sunday] and [on Monday] I’m going to do a medical,” an excited Zulu tells KickOff.com.

Meanwhile, Bucks coach Ian Palmer also tells this website: ”Yes, I'm interested and he [Zulu] arrived for assessment and a decision will be taken soon.

“We need to go do a medical first and see whether he will be able to adapt to my philosophy."
