Orlando Pirates keen to land Mogakolodi Ngele and Asavela Mbekile in Oupa Manyisa swap deal with Mamelodi Sundowns

KickOff.com has learnt that Orlando Pirates could swoop on Mogakolodi Ngele and Asavela Mbekile as part of the deal that has seen Oupa Manyisa join Mamelodi Sundowns.

Pirates chairman Irvin Khoza on Thursday announced a swap deal that will see Manyisa move to Chloorkop, while details of the players going in the opposite direction are still being finalised.

According to a source close to both clubs, discussions have included various names but those of Ngele and Mbekile have been most prominent.

"Both players have been mentioned in discussions between the two clubs," says the source.

"But you must also understand that even if the two clubs agree, the players themselves also need to agree on personal terms with Pirates before the deal is actually complete."

Ngele spent last season on loan with Absa Premiership champions Bidvest Wits, and is currently training with the Brazilians' MultiChoice Diski Challenge team, while Mbekile was restricted to just seven starts in all competitions.
