Mamelodi Sundowns striker Leonardo Castro is not back at pre-season training as he is awaiting the birth of his son at home in Colombia.
Castro and his wife are expecting their second child this week.
The first child – a girl – was born in March last year with the club granting him special leave to travel to Bogota just like they have done again now as a way of showing support.
Though Sundowns reported back for duty this week Castro has not been part of the squad with word reaching KickOff.com confirming that the birth of his son is what has delayed his return.
The 28-year-old is into his third and last year of his contract with The Brazilians this season after the club activated the second one-year option that they had on his deal.
When Castro joined at the start of the 2015-16 season it was on a one-year contract with a further two-year option broken into two.
In his first season Castro scored 14 goals and was part of the famous 'CBD' partnership which also had Khama Billiat and Keagan Dolly, but then he had an injury-ravaged second season.
