Mahlasela unfazed by Chiefs talk

Bloemfontein Celtic midfielder Kabelo Mahlasela insists he has not been affected by the talk linking him with Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs.
Chiefs were recently rumoured to be tracking the Orlando Pirates youth product, who scored the winner in Celtic's Prince Mangosuthu Legacy Cup final win over AmaZulu in Ulundi on the weekend.
However, Mahlasela insists he remains focused on delivering for Phunya Sele Sele after the club exercised a one-year option on his contract.
"I wasn't disturbed at all because I have a very good support structure around me; from my teammates, the technical team and my parents," Mahlasela tells KickOff.com.
"I heard about Kaizer Chiefs but right now I'm focused on Bloemfontein Celtic because I still have a season with them.
"Me going to Kaizer Chiefs, it'll happen at it's own time."
The 26-year-old rose to prominence last season after joining Siwelele from NFD outfit Royal Eagles, and he is eager to build on that momentum.
"To be honest with you, the thing is I'm trying to work hard and forget about last season," Mahlasela says.
"Last season was last season. We are approaching the new season, so my confidence I've got it since last season so the coach told me I'm doing well. It is why I have to keep on working hard to help my team.
"I can assure you that I'll work hard and make sure that I keep my team to achieve whatever we didn't achieve last season. Seeing what you saw [on Sunday] that is part of my game."
