South African-born Joel Untersee is attracting interest from across Europe, according to reports in Italy.
The 23-year-old fullback has returned to Italian giants Juventus after a successful loan spell at Serie B side Brescia in 2016/17, and has formed part of their pre-season squad.
But it appears as though the club would be willing to let him go, possibly on loan again, and that has brought forward a number of suitors as Bafana Bafana coach Stuart Baxter prepares to meet with the Swiss junior international.
Newly-promoted Serie A side Verona head the queue for his services according to numerous reports in Italy, but there is also interest from Belgian side Genk, Swiss outfit Lausanne and English Championship side Bolton Wanderers.
That option would be open to him as a Swiss passport means he would not require a work permit in the UK, despite them not being part of the EU.
Baxter will embark on a trip across Europe to speak to various players aboyt their Bafana futures, with Untersee one of them.
SAFA had earmarked the Roodeport-born fullback as a potential national team player last year, at the same time they worked to bring Dutch-born Lars Veldwijk into the team.
Untersee has played extensively for the Swiss junior national sides, but has yet to be capped at senior national team level and appears to be some way down in the pecking order for a side on the up who are positioned fifth in the latest FIFA World Rankings.
